Tutorial FAQ

Do I need to restart DSH after installing a plugin?

Usually yes. Most plugins are loaded at profile startup, so restart the Web UI or the session before expecting new panels or tools to appear.

What is a profile, in one sentence?

A profile is a named set of plugins and settings that DSH loads together — the web profile is the default for the Web UI.

How do I know a plugin is compatible with my version?

Check the engines.dsh range declared by the plugin version you are installing. If your core version is outside the range, skip that release or upgrade the core first.
